Benjamin Bronfman is a grammy nominated musician and an early pioneer in direct air capture technology.   Bronfman became a  founding partner of Global Thermostat in 2007.   The company would launch the first large-scale US based direct air capture facility at Stanford Research Institute in 2010.

Global Thermostat would go on to build a patent portfolio of over 200 patents and commissioned additional direct air capture units in Huntsville Alabama and Denver Colorado.   Global Thermostat sold to Zero Carbon Systems in 2024.  Bronfman has now started a climate AI company, E-T.EARTH, that is focused on using environmental data and climate mathematics to address carbon pricing.
